  1. I am unsure of a good Steak but a good burger used to be the Loose Moose in downtown! They also have a great Chocolate Martini!

    146 Front St. W.

    Toronto, ON

  2. Good luck finding that!  Toronto has some pretty steep prices for  fine dinning!  The best beef is served at HY's, but that will really cost you!

  3. You'll never find a good steak in Toronto under $15.00 unless you buy it yourself and cook it on a barbecue.

    SPECIAL STEAK SECRET OF TORONTO

A lot of people say that the

    BEST STEAK in TORONTO

is actually served at House of Chan.

Unfortunately, their prices reflect that. LOL!

  4. HARBOUR SIXTY STEAKHOUSE

Situated in the 1917 landmark, Toronto Harbour Commission building, this splendidly designed restaurant, with its three distinctively-different dining areas, has already gained a reputation for substance and style. The open-kitchen concept conveys subtle, yet rich aromas of USDA Prime steaks, rib roasts, succulent fresh seafood and lobster dishes. Bold yet simple appetizers and salads. Exquisite desserts include Apple Tarte Tatin and Grand Marnier Souffle.

  5. A really good steak meal in Toronto for less than $15. not a prayer.  Having said that, I am in the US very often & have never had a good steak meal for that price either, and I have been to more than half of the states.  Actually, never had a steak meal for that price let alone a really good one.  Last August I did have have the steak special for lunch and it cost $8.00.  So tough as to be close to inedible but I must admit they served as many cups of coffee as you could drink.  With the tips etc.  looking at $10.00.  dessert was extra.

  6. Toronto is soooo expensive for nothing. I bought a cup of vegetarian chili without crackers or anything for $20.00 in some no name closet of a restaurant. What a rip off.

  7. I am a former chef and have worked at a number the first person stated, there used to be a palce on Yonge just up from Gerrard named Lindys, it was a very affordable place, but I was there visiting a friend at a hotel in the downtown area and it is now a Thai restaurant, and there are no Ponderosa in Canada anymore.

I agree it is hard not to be charged over $20 and up to $50 for a kobe steak at La Bifteque. You may find a Mom and Pop place who will have a steak on the menu for $10-15 dollars, not a quality one, might even be frozen and not cooked the way you want, I am in agreement with the one other fellow for $15 you can get 1 or 2 nice steaks at a good grocery store, I am a fan of rib steaks, even a small roast seared and roasted for 15-25 minute in the oven and slicing it like a roast, I saw some the other day for that amount around 2 pound in weight.

  8. For 15 bucks, how big was that steak?   Anyway, your best bet in my book is to go to Lone Star - a chain restaurant with a Texas theme - and order a steak sandwich without the bun.  It'll be under $15, and it still counts as a steak dinner.... just kinda small.

  9. Try Kelsey's but it's not a steak house

  10. Try Montana's it is so good. it has the worlds best steaks!!!

  11. If you are downtown on the east side you should try a place called the Tulip - they make a really nice steak for the price, which is around 15-20$
