Stealing Angels; Care to comment?

This Poem is dedicated, to Madeleine Mccann,

It is my Prayer and my hope, for her safe return

Stealing Angels

There are those that steal angels

How selfish and vile a creature

Robbing the world of life’s jewels

All of our futures they plunder

God is Love, but also has anger

When you take what don’t belong to you?

Remember next time you hear it thunder

He is ready to set His face against you

You can’t forever hide an angel

Because they are made out of love

Every one of their freckles

Each one, a gift from above

How long O’Lord must we suffer

I long to see that angels face

Grant the wicked your answer

And remove from them your grace

  1. Much tooooo many dear children are abused, kidnapped ,

and come to endings, will never be totally understandable, never.

  2. E-mail me and I will delete.

First I am not familiar with the person you are writing for so I'd suggest you not send it, if we are supposed to understand the poem and it is not written as we interpret.

Maybe I'm just critical today, or are you angry and feel that God is angry? God is angry at sin, yes. But God is not yet punishing sin. If He were ready to do that He would wipe the majority of us away instantly. God is a good God. Sin is what is destroying. Even satan does not have that power except to suggest and people act on the suggestions. In this poetry, I am not sure who or what you are

    angry about. Sorry.

  3. I love Angels and this poem. I have my own Angels around me all the time.

  4. This is another good song masquerading as poetry. I have a shoebox full of these. I take them out and whittle on them with my pocket knife. You have a gift of expression and a singers want to fill the page. Let the drummer have a little...

  5. This poem is wonderful

    and it says alot

    like it describes about God

he loves and can hate too

I hate violations and theft too

This poem is talking about someone

who has been stolen ( I would have said kidnapped )

It talks about punishment because of the line

How long O'Lord must we suffer

One of the lines that says when you take something

that doesn't belong to you, remember the next time you hear thunder.

  6. Wow! There is alot behind your poem! It seems to stem from the believe that when we die God needed another angel in heaven. If this belief were true it would mean that God is very uncaring and hardhearted. How could people say that it is God's will to take away the peolple we love and need in our lives?  Isn't it said that "God is love?"

Very nice poem! It seems to have alot of pain and yearning behind it. Keep writing and thanks for sharing!

  7. Some powerful words.

  8. You are not alone.  This poem/prayer--may it go from your mouth to the ears up there.
