Stealing Rounds?

What are some boxers known for stealing rounds?

What do you think of them?

Sugar Ray, Sweet Pea, Mosley, Mayweather, Ali, Camacho, and Meldrick Taylor. All of the above mentioned were speed fighters who use flashy combinations to satisfy the naked eye. Golden Boy use to also do it when he was younger. I respect all of the above fighters mentioned. I just wish Mayweather would try to steal some rounds against Cotto, Mosley, or Margarito.

Ali, I think, is a classic example, especially in the latter part of his career.  He'd toy around with his opponent during the first two minutes, talking, taunting and clowning around and occasionally pumping  his piston-like jab while continuously circling aroung the ring.  Sometimes, he'd sit on the ropes and allow his opponent to bang at him, a strategy now known as the "rope-a-dope".  But with about 20 seconds left in the round, he'd suddenly explode with combinations and precise shots to the head of his stunned opponent who'd be lucky to be saved by the bell.  Definitely, the judges would remember the last part of the round and thus award it to Ali.

mosely and mayweather are ones i think of today who are good at stealing rounds in a fight. I mean in competetive fights they are really good at being passive until the last 20 seconds and then they start really hitting with power and take more shots at their opponeant.

That is commonly referred to as a fighter that does not do much in the early parts of a round or first couple of minutes and suddenly pours in on near the end of the round, thus stealing the round.  Sugar Ray Leonard was well known for his ability to steal rounds during his career.  It's not a bad thing as sometimes it does catch the judges eyes and gets their attention.
