lets say the shop is very pricey to start off with, for example, if the store sells you something which they buy from their supplier for $10 and sells it to you for $80 would you not class that as stealing? because its not fair, so to refer back to my question if i where to steal from the shop an item worth $20 after my original rip-off purchase, would that not be fair? and thus not be classed as stealing in the eyes of the lord* because of the saying an eye for an eye???

  1. Who are you to judge how much someone can charge? If you don't like the price, don't shop there. This isn't rocket science.

    Stealing is wrong. Period.

If you spend less time learning to steal and more time getting an education, maybe you could afford expensive items.

  2. Charging a high price for an item which some people will or won't buy is not stealing. Taking something without paying for it is. But you already know that.

  3. not giving any ideas, your true try make it discreate and fast. dont be caught

  4. try it and see then use your excuse as your defense in court

I'm sure the judge will be impressed

  5. Its still stealing in they eyes of the lord and they eyes of the law.  So what if they mark up their merchandise, you have the option not to buy it, so they are not "stealing".   Thieves like you make all of the rest of us have to pay more for our stuff because the store passes that lost money on to their paying customers.   If you steal,  you are a thief.  There is no way to justify it.

  6. no ur an idiot ur going to h**l get a good job so u can afford things

  7. Taking anything you didn't pay for is stealing.  Sorry.  It's up to God to punish the storekeepers, not us.

  8. Stealing is stealing, independent of the price or profit margin of item itself.

Businesses exists for a singular purpose, to make as much money. That being said, they have to balance the costs associated with an item with the price that people are willing to pay.

Costs include wholesale price of the item, the infrastructure of the store where it is purchase (things like electricity, rent, staffing, insurance, displays, cleaning, etc.), shrink (loss due to damaged or stolen items) and advertising.

If the demand for an item is there, and the supply is scarce enough, then there is a higher price that people are willing to pay for an item. Just because YOU do not want to pay that price for an item, that does not entitle you to steal that item. Even if the cost of the item you stole is less than the profit margin of the item that you still stole that item, and they loss the purchase price of the item, that someone else would have purchased.

  9. It's how they make profit. It's the 'middle-man' philosophy that you get with all shops (unless wholesale). If you want to buy things cheap, go to the production line!

  10. Stealing is stealing.  Having a problem with the way retail markups are done is one thing but "getting back" at the store for their high prices is nonsensical.  Stores are not stealing from anyone because you can make the choice of shopping there.  You can easily go somewhere else.  When someone gets something stolen from them, they don't have any say in it.  Let's say you got an iPod for your birthday.  Maybe it didn't cost you anything or maybe you paid for half of it but if someone took it from you knowing that you didn't pay for much or any of it, that would still be stealing.

  11. LOL, Nope, sorry, stealing is stealing.  You have to either accept within yourself that you're stealing something and that just is what it is, or don't steal period.  I mean, I'd totally steal too if I could get away with it, but don't try to make excuses for yourself.  Be real about it.  You stole something, SO WHAT?  It ain't the end of anything.  As far as God goes, He isn't that technical.  You still stole in his eyes.

  12. high prices- gouging

    stealing- well it's stealing

and yes it would still be stealing in the eyes of your lord.  It's one of those commandments.

This is less "eye for and eye" and more, two wrongs don't make a right.

that said I could care less if you steal overpriced merchandise, stealing from faceless corporations is not high on my list of wrongs, but just know, you WILL make baby Jesus cry.

  13. The shop would be overpriced. But noone is forcing you to buy from them. However, they can not make a choice whether or not they want you inside stealing from them. Basically, you are in the wrong if you intend to steal from them. No matter how you look at it.

  14. It's just scamming. People profiting over the naiveness of others. It's not right but I wouldn't call it stealing.

  15. Silly question. Of course it isn't fair. Or ethical. Or moral. And you know that already.

  16. The store isn't stealing, you are.   How the heck can the store be stealing when you decide to purchase the product for $ 80.00 ?

  17. It's stealing. Ethical, moral, legal, whatever. It doesn't belong to you. These people are a big business aimed at making money. They therefore buy from a supplier and sell to you. However what you really pay for is having it all in one place and being able to go shopping in one place. Whenever you make a purchase you draw up a contract. In fact because you took that, although you may believe that it evens it out, it takes money from somebody who has a legal right to it.

  18. dude, two wrongs dont make a right.

although the bible is really confusing and ****, and there are really alot of backhanded beliefs, you shouldn't steal... at all. if you don't like their products just stop buying from them and find it online for cheaper. what you did is wrong, and what they are doing is perfectly okay. in some people's opinions, it may not matter how much it costs, and if people truly do care, they will stop buying, and the store would have to bring down the price. its called economics.
