Steam generator Iron

How do you use a steam generator and are they that much better than a conventional iron. What would you recommend spending on one? x

  1. There are two types, one is a bit like a car radiator and you have to wait for it to cool down before you can undo the cap to refill it, although it produces more steam, its a bit of a pain waiting.  The other type you just unclip the water tank to add more water to it.  I've had both and the second type is much more user friendly, although if you a doing professional ironing the first would be best.  Either way they are brilliant, a lot quicker than a conventional iron with a lot more steam.  If you have a Macro's nearby try them, its often possible to buy one for under £50.


  2. You can use them for lots of things not just ironing... lol. My favorite toy in the world, if you know what I mean... Enjoy.  

  3. They are used the same you just get a lot more steam this makes your ironing much quicker if you have lots to do, i got mine in the sales two years ago £65 but you can get them a lot cheaper now.
