Steam washing machine

Hello, I have just bought a steam washing machine, LG1457. Do I need to use detergent for the washing steam feature. If yes, Should I use the normal quantity?

I don't think you can use normal detergent for this machine. You should have a bookle that came with it and will tell you the correct products to use as not to damage your clothes and your machine. ~ Gods Speed
