Steaming milk with Starbucks Sirena espresso machine?

I am a barista at Starbucks, and I bought the Starbucks Sirena machine for use at home. So far it seems alright but i started steaming milk for use in a latte, and it took forever! Maybe it's because it was the first time using it to steam, because it seemed to get quicker the longer i used it. Does anyone have this machine and how long does it take you to steam milk to about 160?

It shouldn't take longer than about 2 minutes. If you think something might be wrong with it, it should have come with a guarantee. Talk to some fellow employees and/or call up the company directly and ask them. There should be a number with the directions for the machine.

The machines you use at work are much stronger and are designed to be really fast (speed of service).

Don't compare the steaming you do at work to the steaming you do at home! :) I bet it is fine, you are just used to it being really fast!
