Steelers' linebacker LaMarr Woodley likely for game against Bengals – NFL News
A good news for the Pittsburgh Steelers that their linebacker LaMarr Woodley is expected to make a comeback to their side in their next game against Cincinnati Bengals this Sunday.
Woodley was all well during Pittsburgh Steelers practice session on Wednesday giving them the room to set hopes for his return to their squad in one of their crucial games against the Bengals. The Steelers will host the Bengals.
A win will keep the Steelers 8-3 lead in American Football Conference (AFC) north division intact with the Baltimore Ravens. The Ravens are also leading the division at 8-3. Meanwhile the Cincinnati Bengals are just behind the
two sides 7-4. In case the Bengals are victorious against the Steelers in their Sunday game, they will match their 8-3 lead.
LaMarr Woodley had suffered a hamstring injury and missed last three games in recovery. He had participated in the practice session on Wednesday and did not have any problem handling the ball.
"I’m getting there," said Woodley. "I was out there practicing again today. I felt pretty good on it. We will wait and see throughout the week. It’s the most I have done. I felt good so we’ll have to see. Each day I am getting
better. I am day-to-day."
Woodley is tied second in the AFC north with total nine sacks.
Asked specifically about any issue that might hurt his chances for his return against the Bengals next Sunday, Woodley hold back to give a hundred per cent surety. He however confirmed that he was completely fit for the next game.
"We’ll see about that," he said. "Throughout the week hopefully I just get better and come close to Sunday we’ll see."
Meanwhile Pittsburgh Steelers coach Troy Polamalu said that their safety Troy Polamalu was confirmed to not have suffered concussion or concussion like symptoms. He is expected to play this Sunday despite that a precautionary coach
was being adopted about him, he said.
Polamalu had suffered a blow to head in the Steelers’ last game but forced out on the sideline on suspicions that he might have suffered a concussion. He however has been declared fit to continue to play.
