With the documented TOUGHEST schedule in the NFL this season, I think 8-8 will be an accomplishment.

Die hard Steeler Fan here, but facing reality, the postseason will be Steelerless this year. What do you think?

  1. You guys will make it.  You guys have a good team almost every year.  10-6 or 11-5

  2. It's hard to say.

There are lots of question marks going into this season.

    Namely:

    - O-Line

    - D-Line

    - Schedule (which you already mentioned).

    - Other teams in the division (IMO, Cleveland might be the only real threat).

9-7 or 10-6 are probably realistic predictions.

  3. From a fellow Steeler fan, I'm definitely not thrilled about all the tough teams we have to play this year.  Like you said, 8-8 is a distinct possibility, with 10-6 being pretty optimistic.  However, the entire division plays a tough schedule so I don't doubt that 10-6 could win the division like it did last year.

Big Ben will have another great year, and I have a great feeling about Santonio (the 3 year rule).  The defense should be strong again, Tomlin just needs to get the offensive line figured out.  And special teams will struggle as always, especially with Sepulveda out for the year :/  If they bring Gardocki back I'm going to shoot someone.

To your notes.. Cincy won't be that tough yet.  They'll rebuild a lot sooner than people think, but not this year.  I honestly don't see Cleveland being much of a problem either.  Anderson was a fluke last year and they still have zero defense.  I was eating lunch with 2 friends of mine the other day, 1 bengals fan and 1 browns fan.  They were ripping on the Steelers when I told them that they could combine the defenses from their two teams and still not field a defense as good as the Steelers.  They couldn't even argue that, it was great.

  4. very negative...

    I am a birdzzz fan

i think that D makes the Steelers 3rd best team in the LEAGUE

Big Ben gets you guys a division champ......maybe upset 1st round

  5. i think we'll make it. 11-5 or better is my guess

  6. I say 10-6, and I agree the Browns may have passed them by.  The steelers have protection, pass rush and secondary issues.  The Browns may have the best offensive line in football.
