Steelers’ linebacker LaMarr Woodley likely to miss Sunday’s game – NFL News
Pittsburgh Steelers’ linebacker LaMarr Woodley is likely to miss this Sunday’s game in Kansas City due to a hamstring injury.
Although Woodley did some workout during the practice session on Monday, Steelers said he is not expected to recover fully before the Sunday game. He has already missed two games and if does not appear for this Sunday it will be
his third straight.
"Every day, you just push it a little more," Woodley said. "The worst thing about a hamstring injury is that they take time to heal. If you take a look at guys across the league -- coming back too early, sometimes -- the next thing
you know, they're out two to three more weeks. Those injuries can do those types of things, so you have to be careful."
Woodley was injured during his game against the New England Patriots on October 30. The Steelers won that game. He is now on the day to day list, expecting his recovery in about a week time, however, not timely enough to take part
in the next game.
Meanwhile, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger who has fractured his thumb participated in the practice session on Monday. He protected his thumb with a splint on his thumb with a glove. He, however, reportedly
felt uncomfortable with handling the ball. Also, he did not take a snap in order to protect his thumb.
"It's definitely different," Roethlisberger said. "It hurts, first off, just to grip the ball. It's something you have to get used to. I want to get some reps; I wanted to throw some (today)."
Despite being unsatisfactory about his recovery timely before the next game Roethlisberger said he expected to play the Sunday game.
Into week 12, Steelers will be playing their next match against Kansas City Chiefs at the Kansas City this Sunday. With the current regular season of the National Football League (NFL), the American football’s premier league in
the middle, the Steelers lead the American Football Conference (AFC) north division 7-3 along with the Baltimore Ravens. Cincinnati Bengals are placed 6-4 behind them.
