Steering Lock Problem On Moped

Question

hiya i have an sr50 ditech, when i go to put my steering lock on the key turns without a problem, i take it out and move my ped and the lock hasn't worked, does anyone know the problem?

are you lining the  lock up, the steering has to be at the right position  for the lock to engage

waste of time  one good  yank &  they are broken, buy bike lock, for the wheels & lock to  some object

The steering lock is almost certainly broken. I would buy the best lock and chain I could afford as it would be quite expensive to replace the steering lock.

I'd forget it if I were you and get a chain lock. Steering locks are more of a deterrent than a security measure anyway.
