Stefan Bradl of LCR Honda MotoGP says that it was a productive day at Brno test – MotoGP news
Stefan Bradl of LCR Honda MotoGP had a busy day at Brno test. He tested several modifications which are expected to help the German rider in the future races. He completed 69 laps during the session.
He said that it was a long and hard working day for him and his crew. He added that they tried several modifications starting with the new Nissin brake system. Besides, he said that he is satisfied with the new brakes.
Bradl said, “It was a very long and hard-working day for me and the guys. We tried many things starting with the new Nissin brake system, which is working pretty good and then suspensions settings both in the front and in the rear.”
He added that after the brakes they tried to improve the suspensions in both, front and the rear tyres.
Moreover, he said that they were able to identify some improvements in the acceleration area and braking stability which are expected to help in the upcoming races.
The German rider said that they also tried 2013 specified tyres and were able to generate good pace with them. He added that it was a productive day as they were able to sort out several things.
“We found some small improvements in the acceleration area and braking stability, which will help me in the future races. We also lapped on some 2013 spec tyres finding a good pace in the afternoon. At the end it was a productive day because we sorted out
several things,” Bradl said.
He made it to the fifth position in the Brno Grand Prix finishing the race with a gap of 25.582 seconds from the leader Dani Pedrosa of Repsol Honda. He enjoyed the Brno GP although he was unable to push his bike as hard as he wanted to. Despite facing some
problems during the race he was able to show better speed than Alvaro Bautista of San Carlo Honda Gresini and Valentino Rossi of Ducati.
It still remains a question how the tiring efforts of Bradl, during the Brno test, result in the remainder of the season. There are six grands prix remaining in the current 2012 season.
