Stellar Express expected to win Simpson Millar Legal Services Handicap
The Michael Appleby-trained bay filly, Stellar Express, will surely capitalise on the form produces by her recent feats in a bid to claim the ace title of the Simpson Millar Legal Services Handicap that is going to take place at Doncaster racecourse today,
June 29. The Class 3 contest over 1 mile will commence at 3:35 (GMT).
In the marathon of £7,439, the  daughter of Royal Applause out of Aitch will have to face 8 strong rivals.
Stellar Express has been in good form since the beginning of 2012. The three-year-old veteran runner grabbed a 7th and a 5th position in two back-to-back races at Wolverhampton tracks during March-April 2012. She ran both the times
under Jack Duern.
The Adrian Purvis-bred maverick sprinter stepped ahead to finish 9th against 16 competitors in Get Your Bet On At Blue Square Fillies’ Handicap on Newbury course of 7 furlongs on May 19.
The fantastic filly marvellously accomplished a couple of consecutive triumphs in the first half of June. First, she clinched top spot in Black & White Christmas Party Handicap and then stood first in E B F Play Blackjack And Roulette At Totepool.Com Fillies’
Handicap. Both of these races over 1 mile and ½ furlong were held at Nottingham.
For the second event, Stellar Express was 5-2 favourite. These classic conquests spiked up the filly’s confidence to a great extent. She went on to finish 7th in her last start at Ayr on June 23.
In her only going at Doncaster on October 21, 2011, the filly showed pathetic performance and finished last in the 13-runner competition. However, she is likely to make a big impact over there this time. But Van Der Art can give tough time to the filly.
The interesting fact about Van Der Art is that the Alan Jarvis-trained young filly has never left the podium so far in her 8-race career. Along with an epic victory, she has three runner-up ranks and four thirds to her name.
The daughter of Dutch Art out of Chase The Lady is going to run over 1 mile for the very first time. This can be her only disadvantage, but the brilliant filly will surely show enough resistance to thrive.
So let us get ready for a thrilling exciting action. Good luck to all the contestants.
