  1. the mens age has nothing to do with babies development... They say in older WOMEN, there could be a link to down syndrome, but there are many older women having babies that are perfectly healthy... There is a SLIGHT higher percentage of babies being born with autism, but the fathers are much older! like over 50.

    baby will be fine :-)

  2. Hey, I've got a neighbor who's dad and step mom are in their late 40's and they are having a baby. My neighbor is 22. 43 and 27 is not bad.

  3. yeah I think the baby will be fine. I don't think the mans age has anything to do with the baby's health.

  4. Baby will be fine. Dad just won't be able to run and play as much, and will be at greater risks for health problems considering his age. Mom and baby will do fine.

  5. Should be fine.  I have heard that the babys are actually healthier when the dad is much older then mom.  This was on the news a while back.

baby should be fine and congrats on your new little addition to the family

  6. brad pitt is around that age...look how healthy shiloh is.

  7. wow

  8. This is going to get alot of bad comments I'm sure but I am 29 and my bf is 56 yes 27 year diffrence, we just had a baby and he is great, could not be healthier. Don't worry your dad must not act that old if he is dating a 27 year old congrats on the new brother or sister.

  9. baby will be fine. =]

its the women's  age that matters.

    congrats on the new sibling.

  10. 43 is not old. Geesh!

  11. It's spelled PREGNANT.  43 is young and the mans age has nothing to do with it.

  12. There are some instances where an older mans sperm has been linked to autism and other birth defects.

    But

    43 is not old.

My husband is 47 and I am 24 and we are planning on children soon.

  13. Yes the man age can have a effect on the quilty of the sperm and can affect the baby. But it is a VERY small chance.
