Step-brothers: Is it wrong if I want nothing to do with them?

We are all adults now but I feel uncomfortable with them just knowing that there mother was reason for my parents divorced.

You don't have to give a hoot about them. Unless, you need anything from them. Just do it from a high horse. Smile condescendingly, and blow them off  in a polite but snobbish way. Like a brit. I have some now, but I'm still a kid, so I have to be nice to them and take them to the busstop but once i'm 18, i'm gone, baby gone.

I understand why you feel like you do.  If your uncomfortable stay away from them.  But just remember they didn't do it your step mom did and your dad.   It takes two.  Again stay away if you cant get over it.  It's your life.

You answered your own question. Their mother was the reason for your parent's divorce, not them. Why take it out on them?

After all, your father was just as involved in getting his divorce as their mom was. Do you think you should be punished for being his son?

You have to remember although you feel that "their mother was the cause of your parents divorce" perhaps they themselves liked their lives before you and your mother came along. You may not be the only one that feels that way.

I don't really see how hating them is going to make your situation any better. Did they themselves do something to interfere with you parents relationship and cause their divorce? Or was it the parent of them?

It is really not fair to hate them just because of who their mother is. Just like it wouldn't be fair for them to hate you because of your dad.

You don't have to love them like a brother or even hang out with them but you should be at least kind to them.

Put it this way - make as much of an effort as they do.
