  1. Pick a betting slip and write out your bet.IE the name of the horse and how much you want to bet.If you want to bet to win write win after the amount. If you want it place.IE to bet it coming in the first 3or 4 as in the National.Put EW (each way)Or if you

want to do a forecast.IE Bet who comes first second oand third

put forecast. But ask one of the people behind the counter. They

are more than helpful to take your money.

  2. 1. get a betting slip

2.fill in ur pick, where it's running, what time & how much u want to put on including the total amount of money i.e.

    vodka bleu         Aintree      2.45

    £1e/w (each way)

    Total £2.00

    3. Go up to the person serving and ask if u've done it right, then before handing over the money u could ask for a price (this would give u the odds) then pay.

  3. its really easy, they have special betting slips and its a bit like doing to lottery really. u have to decide if ur going to do it one way or each way though. The bookies are used to people not knowing what to do, because a lot of people only have a flutter on the grandnational

  4. You find your local bookies, you walk, there is lots of different slips all over the ship for things also like football, you find the racing section and there will be ones for the grand national if that is what you are intending to bet on, if you cant see the slips then just ask the person at the counter who will be happy to show you.

you then get the slip, fillin who you pick to win, the amount you wish to bet etc. then you take the slip to the counter and pay for your bet and they will then give you a slip which you keep as this is what you need to claim your winnings, assuming you win.

  5. go into the bookies, and find a pen and betting slip, if you can't find one then ask at the counter

write down the name of your selection

then write down the time of the race - grand national 4-15

then write down the type of bet and amount

£4 win  or £2 ew  (ew means eachway),  Then take the price of the horse   eg 10/1, this price should be on the screens, if not ask the bookmaker for the price.

Hand over your money, then go and get a wheel barrow ready to pick up your winnings!!!!

    good luck

  6. go to the bookies get a betting slip fill it in handover to bookies with your money they then give you a slip when your horse wins?? take the slip to bookies and collect your winnings?? any problems ask the clerk

  7. walk in is the hardest bit find one of the small pens right out your bet on a slip there are stacks of them then take it to the window ask for there best price for your horse

    or

    do it on line
