Stepaside Glenis auspiciously won by a nose in the Owlerton Bookmakers Maiden Stayers for J Smith
Trainer J Smith’s b***h Stepaside Glenis showed her girl power in the 600 meters chase in the Owlerton Bookmakers Maiden Stayers at the Sheffield race course. Winning the race convincingly, the b***h accomplished in fortifying her ownership for the entailed purse of £200.
With the odds of 9 – 2, the black b***h commenced through her box with an extremely sluggish pace, while the trap 1 racer Roeview Rosie amazingly broke through her box and on the way turned some heads.
Trainer N Melbourne’s four-year-old b***h rallied through the track with a big shot, as she headed into the first stretch. J Smith’s b***h facing minor obstruction around the second bend, struggled through the lot of hounds which forced her to switch on the inside.
Roeview Rosie wearing red and white jacket took the command over the entire pack by gaining the lead.
As she was spotted in the final turn the trap 4 racer tucked her from right behind, to battle for the desired position.
The stadium was stunned by two-year-old b***h’s inspirational journey as she pushed her limits to settle up in the lead.
Holding Roeview Rosie by a shoulder, the b***h showed tremendous performance and kicked home in the estimated time of 40.59 seconds.
N Melbourne’s trap 1 racer remaining at the idyllic position unfortunately was over thrown by a minor margin and finished off second.
Trainer R Thompson’s Farloe Lenson was sent in with 4 – 5 F odds. He began his lure chase quite well with a modest speed, but as he crossed over from the outside, he experienced hindrance around the third stretch.
The trap 2 racer lost the quest by 3 ½ lengths and finished third for R Thompson in 40.87 seconds.
Trainer R Gray’s black dog, Vigorous Willie, and C Hopkins’s Taranis Legend, started off with a slow pace. After experiencing immense obstructions both dogs tried every chance to make up for lost time.
R Gray’s trap 5 racer being over thrown by Farloe Lenson by a huge margin took 41.29 seconds to cross the wire, while the trap 6 racer finished off fifth by a ¾ length in 41.35 seconds.
The last one to break through the wire was Fagans Natal who dashed through trap 3 for trainer F Rawlinson, but managed to place himself at sixth position by a neck.
The fortunate winner of the Owlerton Bookmakers Maiden Stayers, Stepaside Glenis surprised the entire stadium with his memorable performance.
