Stepdaughter?

I have an 11-year old stepdaughter. I thought, until this weekend, we got along great. To make a long story short, she has a lot of issues with lying & has been caught & disciplined by both her mom & dad. She is constantly wanting to go places with me, do things w/me, we get along great & I thought we had a great relationship. She comes to me for advice & well, you get the picture. This past weekend, she acted horribly at our house (mine & her dad's) and my husband punished her & tried to get to the root of her problem w/the acting out & lying. He couldn't get anywhere w/her, so he called her mother & she revealed that her daughter did not like me, which really surprised me. Apparently, she has been going home after leaving our house & complaining about how she doesn't like me & doesn't want to come back over after she turns 12 (next month). Total shock to me. She has never said this to me and just this past Friday, she asked if I would go to her school orientation w/her. What gives?

Good luck. It's mainly about loyalties she maybe sacred that she is hurting her mum by liking you. It's a hard age she will grow out of it my sd is 13 now and hormones have kicked in so it's sometimes easier for sd to talk to me but also easier for sd to take out feelings too. It's a long rough road make the best of it. X
