The Rossoneri have taken full ownership of the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 U-21 international but have not made any commitment of him staying at the San Siro for the next campaign.
The 19-year-old featured 28 times for the Italian outfit last season. The presence of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029 in the side has limited his opportunities, but given his young age and having watched his potential through the 2011-12 campaign,
the Milanello board pressed for full ownership of the young star.
El Shaarawy was bought from Genoa, however, the Diavolo only sought for co-ownership last summer and were thought to make the decision of full ownership after assessing his potential through the course of the season.
He managed to score four times in his 28 appearances for the Rossoneri, and did enough to impress the management to secure full ownership of the player. However, the Milanello board has not ruled out the possibility of sending
the player to garner experience, where more starts and appearances would be guaranteed.
Ariedo Braida, AC Milan director, stated that there is the possibility of sending him out on a loan after securing claim to full ownership. Torino have been cited as a possible interested party, and Braida was keen to make their
stance clear on the issue, he remarked:
“At this time, El Shaarawy is not moving from Milan. Again, to avoid any misunderstandings - for the moment the situation is like this.”
Furthermore, he went on to state that there is no need to be rushing to any conclusions, and also went on to state that the transfer window has still yet to open, and stated nothing can be known for certain. He was talking to itasportpress.it
and during his interview; he was quoted to have said:
“However, anything is possible in football, more so considering the fact that the transfer market has yet to officially open and will also be particularly long. Would we send El Shaarawy to Torino? If at the end of market we decide
to move the boy out, who no doubt has talent, there would be no problem in sending him out to Torino.”
This casts some doubt over the future of the U-21 star who turns 20 in October.
