Juventus FC right-back, Stephan Lichtsteiner, believes that the Bianconeri are destined to succeed in the Serie A in the ongoing 2011/12 season. The defender is looking forward to their next league game at home against Genoa on October 22 and is keen to
see La Vecchia Signora snatch maximum points from the match.
Juve were held back by Chievo Verona last weekend to a 0-0 draw in Verona and the Juve right-back believes that the Bianconeri need to be at their best in the coming weeks to keep the top spot. The Old Lady currently leads the Italian top tier on goal difference
as they have points tied with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Udinese-Calcio-c40789.
However, Lichtsteiner knows that the coming weeks are going to be tough for Juve as they are going to face the top teams in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 and Palermo in the coming days after the game against Genoa
and it will not be easy to secure maximum points from every upcoming game.
Lichtsteiner was recently talking to Sky Sport Italia where he expressed his feelings regarding the upcoming games. The Swiss International said:
"We have difficult games coming up against Genoa, Fiorentina, Inter and Napoli and so we cannot really speak about the Scudetto now. But if we can continue along this path then I am sure we will achieve great things."
Furthermore, Lichtsteiner warned his fellow Juventini to be alert for the upcoming game hosted by Genoa. The hosts have not been able to win in their last three clashes, but the defender believes that they will have to work hard in order to defeat Genoa.
"We will have to be careful against Genoa as they have good strikers, but we are preparing well and I have faith," concluded the defender.
Juventus have had a great start to the season coming from two consecutive 7th place finishes in the Italian top flight that kept them out of the European competitions for two years. However, a revamp strategy seems to have paid off well for the
Bianconeri and under the coaching of the former Juve midfielder, Antonio Conte, it is reckoned that Juve are strong Scudetto competitors this season.
