Mbia believes that the poor performance of Les Phoceens is due to the physical problems and a high level of fatigue prevailing at Stade Velodrome.
The 25-year-old was quoted saying, “We are in the storm; the horizon was so far blocked, but good weather is going to arrive... I hope this break will finally be beneficial. We will make a comeback,” He added, “[Marseille] is not dead from the title run.”
The Yaounde native is expected to make a full recovery in two weeks. Coach Didier Deschamps is counting on Mbia’s recovery as Marseille’s defence have always been a cause for their recent lack of wins in Ligue 1 Championelle. The Rhone club have conceded
12 goals in nine games of 2011/12 Ligue 1 Championnat.
Marseille are 13th in Ligue 1 standings and the future does not look bright for the 2010 champions of France.
