Stephen Curry feels good progress has been made on his ankle injury – NBA Update
Stephen Curry has been working out in the Golden State Warriors practice facility and is making good progress on his right ankle injury which he suffered back in March.
Following the practice session recently, Curry spoke to the media representatives for the first time since the re-injuring his ankle late last season and contemplated on the progress he has made.
“It's been a three-month rehab and I'm making good progress," Curry said. "We're being patient with it, so that by Oct. 31 I am playing without any restrictions and no hesitation."
The nagging injury has caused him trouble for the past two seasons and even caused him to miss 41 games out of the 66 games in the last one.
"I have the mindset that I am getting myself ready for camp," he said. "I'm not concerned about the last two years. I want everything to be 100 percent clear in my mind."
Curry hurried back onto the court on previous occasions, however this time around, he is not taking any chances and has taken a scheduled route on his way to recovery which has seen him work hard since June 1. The training process
is set to continue till training camp begins in September.
This would be great news for the Warriors, who see the combo guard as their future franchise player. The team was plagued with injuries last season and as a result became the first team in the NBA to have an all-rookie starting
line up at the end of last season. They would hope that is not the case this time around.
Golden State could certainly use having Curry present and ready to play as out of the 41 game he missed last season, the Warriors could only manage to get 11 wins under their belt. Curry also believes that next season would be
a lot different if everybody on their roster stays fit;
"We have size, we have shooting and we have a better defensive unit," Curry said. "When you add all those things up, it adds up to more wins."
