Stephen Fleming says 79-all out is a wakeup call for Super Kings – Cricket News Update
Disappointed after his side’s poor performance against Mumbai Indians, with the entire team being rolled over for just 79 runs in pursuit of 140, the Chennai Super Kings head coach http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Thomas-Donald-Topley-c93395.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MEK-Hussey-c1942 top scored for the Super kings with a 26 ball 22, as eight of the visiting batsmen fell for single digit scores, including three ducks. Skipper Mahendra Singh, who has been leading the Chennai batting line up from the front, also had an off day, managing just 10 runs from 12 balls.
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Harbhajan-Singh-c61453 shared one wicket apiece.
Fleming, the former http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 skipper who has been with the Super Kings since the start of the money spinning T20 league, said it was a different Wankhede pitch on offer but that was no excuse for such a dismal performance from his side.
The New Zealander, however, conceded that it was not easy to win every single game in such a long-drawn tournament, adding that he had seen such a reversal round the corner.

"There was a lot of sideways movement and lot of spin. The nature of the bounce was a bit different from any other pitch. But that's no excuse for being bowled out for 79,” said Fleming at the post-match presentation ceremony.

"It's a pretty long tournament to maintain your standards. We need to win at Mumbai at some stage. We did not come close to it Sunday," the Chennai coach went on the add.
Chennai, the two time former champions, have been sensational so far, losing just three of their 11 games. Fleming admitted that he was looking at a few more wins on the bounce but understood the challenges of going for that record..

"Striving to get to 8-10 (match wins) was what we aimed for. The nature of the competition is such that it has not been done before.

"There is a reason for that; getting up all the time and performing well and being consistent is tough work. Today, we were not just good enough to do that," said Fleming.
