The 24-year-old Irish midfielder of Aston Villa, Stephen Ireland has expressed his disappointment during his stay at the Club.
Ireland has been a part of Villa since the summer of 2010 transfer window. He has only managed to make nine appearances till now and the Villans don’t seem to be too happy with their new player.
Neil Lennon who is the manager for the Celtics has been reported to be interested in the Irishman and he is trying to recruit him to his team in the January transfer window.
This Irish club has made it very clear that they want Stephen Ireland for loan till the end of the season especially now as they are looking to bag the Scottish Premier League and they need an added gun to add to their squad
According to a media source Stephen Ireland has not settled in well in Aston Villa and is not comfortable there. With his recent move from the Citizens he has not been able to form a healthy relationship with the players in his new squad.
In spite of the fact that Gerard Houllier is working hard at making this a possibility as he knows well enough like any other good manager that a player needs to be comfortable with the team if he is to succeed there.
Even though Aston Villa’s squad has had numerous injuries and are playing with a lot of players from the second team, the Villan manager Houllier has still not called upon the Irishman for the team and this makes the player feel that if he can’t make a more
prominent first team face then he should move out in January or at least get loaned out.
It has also been rumoured that if this player does not get a call up soon then he may as well just make a move back to Scotland if no other English Premier League team makes him a reasonable bid.
Stephen Ireland is predicted to shine if he moves to the Celtics as the environment will suit him and will further raise discussions in making the move permanent. As Aston Villa may be open in selling off this player and getting some of the money back that
they spent on recruiting this man.
The Celtics have already been rumoured to pay the wages that Stephen Ireland was getting from Aston Villa which is a whopping sixty thousand pounds a week.
Still if the Villans let go of the Irishman then they will have to sign a good replacement and that is rumoured to be Nolan Roux from the French side club Stade Brest FC.
