Question:

Stephen King's IT remake - Good idea or bad?

Well it appears that a remake of Stephen King's classic IT is going to make an appearance at some point thanks to the Sci Fi Channel. A lot of people think it should be left alone and that it will potentially harm the first film. I don’t really understand that i mean if people feel that passionately about it nobody is actually forcing them into seeing the new version.

I think it could be a good thing i mean the remake of the shinning (mini-series) i found more enjoyable as it followed the book more closely.

As always it would be interesting to hear what you guys think : )

  1. If they did it right, find with me if they make a remake. Not sure either why people go nuts over remakes of movies, if they dont like the idea of a remake of a movie, then dont watch it. Like all the people going nuts because MTV doing a remake of Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I have seem some remakes that were pretty good. If they remake It, i will watch this one as well.

  2. If the movie is good, then it was a good idea.  If not, it wasn't.  It's that simple.

TNT had a remake of "Salem's Lot" a couple of years ago and I thought it was excellent.

  3. I think it would be a good idea, And have i don't know say someone like Johnny Depp to play Pennywise the clown. But more deminted looking like they done with the joker.

  4. It will be good if its correctly done, it will come down to the acting, quality and whether or not it sticks closely to the novel.

Some remakes work out well (some are even better than the original) and other times they're horrible because too they deviate much from the original story or are of poor quality
