Steps to repainting a 225hp Yamaha outboard cowling...?

I am attempting to repaint an 03' outboard cowling that had gotten scratched up pretty bad. I have already filled the cracks and primed the surface. I have the OEM paint and clear coat but I was wondering how many coats of paint I should use and also how many coats of clear. Should I wet sand after every coat of paint/clear?

I would do 2 coats of each. The paint should have directions and all your answers though.
