I have a 2000 jeep wrangler and it got caught in a sink hole and the tide came in. The front end of my jeep was under water the radio was not under water. Now that my jeep is dried out and all wiring is dry, here is the problem. My jeep stereo comes on with all lights does all the fancy stuff still and my satellite radio even tunes, and my amp comes on. There is no sound. I took out the speakers and tested them they all work and the amp still comes on. I have checked all the fuses the one in the radio, the amp, and the one at the battery and they are good.

Now what????????

  1. Well, I'm sorry to hear that. If it was seawater, it may have corroded the wiring in some other place.  Try doing a thorough check of the entire length of wiring that was submerged.  The lights coming on on the radio tells you that there is no problem with the radio power line, and the same with the amp, my guess is it's the speaker lines coming from the amp that may be damaged.
