Stereo has no sound??? ?

i have a pioneer stereo and all of a sudden there is no sound i have made sure that all the speakers are connected correctly but still no sound i have even tried the speakers in a different stereo and they work then i tried different speakers in the stereo ad they dont work, does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening??? and i know the stereo works because u can see it on the display screen.

Your receiver has been surged.  If the display is up, but there is no sound, than you have been surged.  It will cost between $100 and $400 to repair your motherboard.  

Next time plug the receiver into a surge protector and not a power strip or the wall.
