Question:

Stereotypes?

Hello,

I am doing a social issue project on the topic of Stereotyping. A couple of the parts to the project are to make a positive impact on the issue (make a difference with our issue), learn a new skill relating to it, and then interviewing people that relate to the issue.

Currently, I am in need of some help on figuring out how to make an impact on stereotyping and whom to interview.

Any help is appreciated

  1. Hahahahaha You could go to Harlem and interview a black man who is driving a Mercedes and ask him if he is conducting illegal activity. That would work. Not all are, you know.

  2. Go to a nursing home and talk with the elders about their life and the difference they made.  These people are otherwise often forgotten because our society sees them as old and feeble.

  3. Banish the stoner stereotype.

There are people who smoke a little weed, and then there are stoners. Get ris of the stupid notion that marijuana is a massively harmful drug and every teenager who uses it is set for a life of failure.
