This is a discussions I need to get in on with answering this questions:

pro's and con's of using steroid growth promoters in a

meat producing species of your choice. What species are not currently using steroids to inhance growth in the USA?

  1. The beef industry uses an implant. You have many hundred  times as much naturally occuring in a human body. Europe has banned such implants maybe as much of a trade barrier as really caring for their people. I do not use these implants in my cattle. I do vaccinate for common diseases. Organic is a term for no vacine or antibiotics. If you were a cannibal would you eat a person with exposed disease or one not?


  2. The short response would be that steroids and chemical use in the meat industry is definitely causing negative publicity and organic products have been steadily on the rise. All those chemicals seem to come back and haunt us in meat and milk products. As demand goes up for organic products, as it has, the price is dropping.

  4. If you want something that has been raised naturally, w/o steroids, you'll want to look at a smaller family farmer...

    "Organic is NOT the same as Natural"....
