My son took at least three times steroids to breath better about five years ago. Now that he is a tweenager he developed a deep voice, grew bigger than other kids his age, grew hair, etc. What do you think? Has it happen to someone you know?

  1. Nope, wrong kind of steroids.

  2. No, the steroids people take for breathing issues are not the same type of steroid.  The most common issue you need to worry about is an immunodeficiency which is a side effect of all steroids.

  3. No. The opposite, actually.

  4. I have 2 daughters who had asthma when they were little kids and our family doctor prescribed and gave them steriod. Sad to say they both grew up to be obese persons. Now they are both past 23 years of age and they have both a hard time reducing to a normal regular weight.
