Steve Austin: It is good for The Rock to be back to WWE – WWE News
Former WWE superstar, Steve Austin better known as ‘Stone Cold Steve Austin’ showed up for an interview on The LAW to discuss his newest movie Recoil and some WWE highlights.
Austin was frank and he gave rapid answers. Since The Rock has once again become the fad for the WWE Universe, Austin was asked if the newer superstars are having a problem with The Rock snatching their spotlight. Stone Cold responded saying, “My thoughts
on that are, you earn what you get in this business. Rock has earned the ability to come and go as he wants, because the business still needs him, it can still use him, and it can elevate the profile with having such a mainstream guy there. I don't know about
the promos between John (Cena) and Rock. I think some of them have gotten kind of personal, you wonder how much of it's a work and how much of it's a shoot. At the end of the day, it's a worked business. Again, I think it's a good thing for Rock to be involved
with this. He's earned his right to come and go and do whatever he wants.”
Austin was then asked if he plans to return to the ring or not. The former wrestler replied saying that nothing is ‘up in the air for him right now’ but if something comes up then he surely will consider it. He further said that he wants it to be right for
him, his opponent and the company, at the end of the day.
When asked about his acting career, Austin said that he feels he is coming up to the mark and that he has learned a lot from his recent venture with Steven Seagal. He added that he is a more relaxed person now who can listen to things and get along with
others on the set. He said that repetition is always the key to be good when you are doing something new and since he has been in the acting industry for a while now, he can feel he is developing the instincts in him.
