Steve Bolland of Bristol Corinthian Yacht Club retain lead on Day 2 of RS300 National Championships
Bristol Corinthian Yacht Club’s Steve Bolland sailed brilliantly on Day 2 of RS300 National Championshps at the Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy to retain the overall lead on the score board. Bolland won three out of four races in the day and clinched
a second place in the fourth to lead the standings with six points, followed by Neil Beveridge on second place with 23 points after six races.
Unlike Day 1, weather conditions at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy were a bit higher. The force showed around four knots at the start of the first race but gradually built up until the fourth race of the day. Sailors had a couple of busy
start lines during the races of the day but Bolland’s consistent performance halted him on top of the board.
Bolland is now on top with six points after six races and one discard. On second place is Neil Beveridge of Lymington Town Sailing Club with a huge difference from Bolland at 23 points. Mike Bees from Brightlingsea Sailing Club grabbed the third place overall
with just three points difference from Beveridge at 26 points.
