Steve Bruce angry over the busy schedule
The English manager of the Sunderland football team Steve Bruce seems a little fed up with the stressful schedule of the matches, after three key players of the team have been injured in the recent match of Sunderland. Moreover, the Englishman is of the
view that festive matches are causing a lot of stress to the players and it needs to end now.
It is to be known that the twenty-four-year-old Nigerian defender Nadem Onuoha, the English winger Welbeck and the striker Asamoah of the Sunderland team had endured injuries in the previous match of the team against Blackpool. It is also to be noted that
the team of Bruce endured a thrashing defeat of two goals from the Blackpool team and that is probably the reason behind Bruce’s anger over the schedule of the fixtures of the ongoing tournament.
In a very recent interview Steve Bruce expressed his thoughts in a pretty blunt mood. He said that playing five matches in eight days is not at all good for the fitness of the players and according to him, playing a lot of matches is pretty senseless. He
continued and said that now his team needs rest and a winter break, as at the moment the busy schedule has badly influenced his players. Bruce told that every other football team of Europe takes some time to get rest, as a break is very important. He continued
that right now his players are in need of a break from football and it should be provided. Earlier this week the Sunderland team also endured a crushing defeat from Manchester United. Bruce said that his major concern is the fitness of the players. He added
that the busy schedule has not only affected the fitness of the players but it can influence the performance of the team as well. He added that a player will play a match if he is ordered by a manager to play but playing too many matches against the bigger
teams can affect a player’s performance pretty harshly. The match of Sunderland against Blackpool was the twentieth match of Bruce’s team. While talking about the matter he told that his team is scheduled to play five matches in thirteen games and to him the
fixtures of the tournament are pretty harsh and senseless. He continued that he just wants to say that he is not happy and all the other managers of the Premier League should support his thoughts as well.
According to many media critics the harsh weather conditions are not very ideal to play. Moreover, playing too many matches can badly influence the fitness of many players as well. On the other hand the manager of the West Ham football team Avram Grant also
seemed to be agreeing with the views of Steve Bruce. The recent match of West Ham against the Everton team resulted in a draw but Avram seemed a little upset with the busy schedule of the matches as well because the West Ham team was playing their second match
in three days. After the match Avram told the media that playing two matches in three days is not at all, an easy task. He criticized the fixture’s schedule and said that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 is the only country in which teams are bound to play two matches in three days
and so far he is not happy with the current condition.
Moreover, it is also to be notified that most of the managers of the English Premier League teams have supported the idea of the winter break. The veteran manager of the Manchester United football team Sir Alex Ferguson has always urged for a break during
the season.
