Steve Fossett - Death faked or not? what do you think!?

I would rather believe that he faked it. I wouldn't want to know that he actually died because he sounded like a very energetic and vital individual. It is very strange that there is no 'trace of him' and he utterly disappeared from the face of the Earth. I wish you well. Peace!!!

I feel the plane crashed, and could have been covered by sand in a sand storm.

I do not think there is any doubt that he died.

no he probably crashed in a remote canyon and coyotes and buzzards ate him, Nevada is mostly Wasteland

i dont because i havent followed the story, but does anyone know what his motive for faking his own death mightve been?

without a motive id be more inclined to believe hes missing presumed dead

It appears dodgy and I get the feeling Cynthia takes pride in her job, (managed to find six other planes while looking for his).

Also the bloke was/is meticulous in his planning and he wasn't that day.

I go for faked until proven otherwise, there should have been fresh wreckage, it's Nevada not the Bermuda triangle and he wasn't on a long range flight.
