Steve Kean: I want Samba to stay
The Blackburn Rovers manager, Steve Kean, is hopeful of convincing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Christopher-Samba-c9212 to stay put.
The 6 foot 3 inches tall defender has expressed his desire to leave Blackburn, following the sacking of Sam Allardyce and was stripped off the duties of the club captain. Samba is expected to be fit for the next fixture against West Bromwich Albion, as the
player missed Sunday’s defeat to Stoke City owing to an ankle injury.
The manager travelled to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/India-c750 to meet up with Rovers’ owner to discuss the situation at the club and claimed that he has brought in some good news.
"When I told Chris the plans for the transfer window he was very positive so hopefully he can look at it in a different light now and hopefully he will stay. Since I came back and explained what is going to be happening they [senior players] have been reassured
and I don't think there has been anything negative,” stated the Blackburn Coach.
The manager explained that he has already submitted a list of player’s he would want the new owners to bring in, as the side lacks squad depth in major positions. With fans still upset with Allardyce’s departure, Kean has to work fast to ease those fears,
which were shown when http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rovers-c40385 lost 2-0 at home to Stoke City. With two back to back away fixtures lined up, Kean is well aware of the pressure on his two shoulders and will be hoping for some positive results.
"We've got two away games that are not easy on paper because West Brom and Sunderland play very well at home but it's about time we stuck together as players when we are on the road,” stated the Blackburn Manager.
The manager confirmed that the entire locker room was disappointed of losing to Stoke City and that the fixture against West Brom is an important one. Kean added that they would be looking for nothing less than all three points at the Hawthorns, in order
to get back to the mid of the table.
