The goal that Mandanda conceded was a big error of judgment which one does not expect from a player of his calibre and experience. While talking to Infosport plus regarding his incredibly amazing blunder, Mandanda expressed his annoyance and said that errors such as the one he committed on Sunday, should not happen at this level.
“This is the worst. There are things that happen. It bothers me a lot, it should not happen at this level,” said the dejected shot-stopper.
Annoyed but not devastated, Mandanda knows that despite his error, he has indeed made a great start to the 2012/2013 Ligue 1 Championnat. Marseille have won six out of seven games in the league and are still at the Ligue 1 summit which means that ahead of the crunch Clasico against Paris Saint-Germain, Mandanda and co would be out to pile more pressure on their rich rivals.

However, Mandanda is not getting carried away by these rumours and has said that the choice to make anyone number one is for Didier Deschamps to make and added that Lloris’ situation with the London club is never going to last long.
“This is a question you should ask the manager. Today, it is not what interests me. I want to be successful and decisive with OM. Hugo is in a delicate situation, but I think it will not last too long. If he went there, it was because he was given guarantees.”
