Steve McMahon believes Kenny Dalglish has unfinished business at Liverpool – Premier League update
Former Liverpool midfielder, Steve McMahon, believes that caretaker manager, Kenny Dalglish, can take Liverpool back to their best in English football.
He expressed his thoughts in an interview with LFC TV and said, "Even though at the moment he is Liverpool's caretaker manager, I am certain he will already be thinking about where he can take the club if and when he gets the job full-time. I know that he feels there is unfinished business with Liverpool after he quit so abruptly in 1991. He's permanently got a smile on his face because he's enjoying having this second chance.”
Liverpool have struggled since the last season, having missed out on the UEFA Champion’s League spot last year and witnessing a poor start to this season under new manager Roy Hodgson. Roy Hodgson, who replaced Rafael Benitez in the summer, could not do any better and had to be sacked after less than five months in charge.

Liverpool were placed in the second half of the table before his appointment, now after some considerable improvement they are in sixth spot and are challenging for the Champion’s League spot. McMahon believes that nobody can identify Liverpool FC better than Dalglish, who has a long time affiliation with the club. The midfielder also said that the Scott has a great football brain and if he gets a full time job next season, than the club can regain its lost glory.
McMahon was the first ever signing made by Dalglish during his first stint with the club in 1985. The England Midfielder made 277 appearance for Liverpool and scored 50 goals.
