http://www.senore.com/Cricket/BJ-Haddin-c1170 and expressed that he still has a lot to offer to international cricket.
Since the retirement of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Adam-Gilchrist-c918, Haddin has been the number one wicketkeeper in Australia. However, the 34-year-old sportsman had to fly back home from Caribbean earlier this year because of some family problems.
In his absence, young http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Matthew-Wade-c1933 did a brilliant job for the Kangaroos in Tests as well as in the limited overs leg of the series. The young wicketkeeper scored his maiden Test century during the tour and impressed pundits with his glove-work as
well.
Waugh, who is considered to be one of the best captains in the history of the game, is also happy with Wade's progress in international cricket and is happy to see Australia’s future in safe hands.
"Wade has made it tough and that is what you are supposed to do as a cricketer - make it tough for the other player to get back in," the former cricketer expressed.
However, the former middle-order batsman backed Haddin to regain his place in the Test team once he proves his fitness to the selectors by playing in Sheffield Shield matches. Waugh is of the opinion that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 has invested a lot in Haddin over
the years and now is the time to reap the fruits. The former captain believes that the wicketkeeper is too good a player to be ignored.
Waugh added, "He's got experience, class and know how - I hope he still gets some opportunities. I think Haddin has a lot to offer Australian cricket. I still think he is a fantastic cricketer."
The cricketer from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-South-Wales-c823 has so far played 43 Tests, 93 One Day Internationals and 25 T20s for his country. Haddin has so far scored more than five thousand runs in international cricket but the cricket analysts believe that
he has not fulfilled his potential at the highest stage of the game as yet. Being a successor to Gilchrist, a lot more was expected from Haddin with the bat.
