England’s lanky fast bowler, Steven Finn, believes that the English team can still bounce back and win the ongoing series against India.
The Englishmen are two-down in the competition, with three more games to play. The third contest which will be a do-or-die situation for the tourists, is set to be played at Mohali on Thursday,
October 20, 2011.
In great rhythm, the Men in Blue are eyeing on sealing the series 3-0 and earn back the respect that they lost during recent tour to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013, where they lost both ODI and Test series.
On the other hand, nothing is going in England’s favour and it seems that the Poms are yet to adapt to the conditions in the sub-continent. However, Finn is adamant that his side has the ability
to rediscover the winning momentum and sweep the series by winning the remaining three matches.
"India have probably had the better of the conditions on both occasions. We can't blame out underperformance on that, but they've probably had the better of the conditions. I don't think there
is too much difference, to be honest, it's the same teams playing against each other. They've obviously had more exposure to these conditions in the past," said Finn who gave away 117 runs and grabbed just a wicket in previous two matches.
England’s biggest worry at the moment is the lacklustre performance by the entire batting line-up. Despite the presence of big guns like http://www.senore.com/Cricket/IJL-Trott-c1576 and
Jonny Bairstow, the English batting did not click in the last two games against India’s new-look bowling attack. England’s poor batting show is evident from that fact that the skipper is the only man to score a half-century so far in the series.
Still hopeful, the 22-year-old pacer claimed that the guys are confident and aiming for a series triumph.
"We've got nothing to lose now - we're playing against the world champions in their own conditions, we have nothing to lose whatsoever. We have full belief that we can win these three games,"
added the Hertfordshire-born seamer who has nabbed three scalps in four ODIs against the World Champions so far in his career.
