Steven Finn vows to make comeback after taking backseat in Ashes battle
England fast bowler, Steven Finn, has vowed to make a comeback at the international level after falling back a few paces in the pecking order for fast bowlers in the country.

He played a leading part in England’s win in the two series and was more than rewarded for his efforts. He won the “Emerging Player” award at the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) annual cricket awards.
His selection was a surprise given the fact that he had only played Test cricket and was preferred over the likes of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758’s, Angelo Mathews, who had both performed impressively in all three formats
of the game.
Finn stated in an interview that he is keen on winning back his place at the highest level and was willing to do the hard yards to regain his berth in the English team.
"I don't think anyone has ever gone through international cricket without being dropped or left out of a team so hopefully it's something that will benefit me in the long run", Finn said. "If it takes me a year or two to get back into
the international team then so be it, but I'd back myself to be a better bowler when I get into the team”.
He played a big part in the initial stages of the Ashes series, playing a stellar role in the drawn opening Test match at the Gabba in Brisbane, as well as the win at the Adelaide Oval in the second Test match.
He was also part of the team that lost the third Test at the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Western-Australia-c865 Cricket Association (WACA) stadium in Perth. The pacer snared 14 wickets in the series with a six-for in the first Test.
"To take 14 Ashes wickets in three Tests was a great feeling but I'm well aware that I went for too many runs and it's the reason I got left out of the team", Finn said in an honest assessment. "It's important that I learn from what
I did wrong in the Ashes series and make myself a better player”.
Finn added that he had the time of his life in the Australian series. He thinks that it was an amazing five or six weeks as he was part of the squad that made history, recording an impressive win, which is being hailed by many as the
greatest English show on Australian soil ever.
However, their win is a part of history and he thinks that it is important that the team does not look back at the past and builds the future as there are big home series lined-up against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 and Sri Lanka.
He stated that the Ashes win would remain etched in his memory for the rest of his life but at this young stage of his career he cannot afford to relax or get complacent at his achievements.
He added that there is a lot of hard work, which would make him a better cricketer and one who can make the difference to his team.
Finn has time on his side. He would be turning 22 this week and has a long way to go. The young pacer has shown great promise and has the potential to become one of the greats in the years to come, all he needs is to keep his feet
firmly on the ground and work on progressing as a cricketer.
