After watching Steven Finn bowl in the Performance Program match, the young batsman Joe Root believes the English fast bowler is back at his best, despite skipping net practice on Sunday.
Finn missed the first two games after suffering from a thigh injury which occurred during the warm up match against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 A. After reports revealed that the injury was not too severe, Finn was kept in the squad in hope of his timely recovery.
Looking at the 23-year-old bowl against D Y Patil Academy XI, where he claimed 4 wickets, Joe Root believed the fast bowler was back in form.
“He bowled fantastically well, and got some wickets and good overs under his belt. I think he's pretty happy with where he's at now, and it will be interesting to see how things go over the next three days in training,” said Root.
Answering a question over Finn’s return to the Test side for the 3rd game against India at Kolkata, Root said, “I'd like to think so. He's got three big training days coming up, so I'm sure he'll find out (if he is needed) in due course.”
After a poor show by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820, he is likely to be replaced by Finn, if the latter is declared fit.
