Steven Gerrard pleased with Liverpool’s business in the transfer window – EPL News
Liverpool skipper, Steven Gerrard, has expressed his contentment over the Reds’ extraordinary business in the last two transfer windows and is pleased to see high quality players to join the Merseyside club.
Liverpool signed two central midfielders, Charlie Adam from Blackpool and Jordan Henderson from Sunderland, while other areas of the squad were also strengthened by the wing signing of Steward Downing from Aston Villa and goalkeeper Alexander Doni from AS

Gerrard, who has been out of action since the end of last season and will not feature until next month, has praised Dalglish’s efforts in bringing such high quality players to Anfield.
"I believe we've made some very good signings this summer, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Doni-c11553 all coming in," the 31-year-old midfielder stated.  
Liverpool now have a plethora of options in the midfield as Kenny Dalglish has nine midfielders in his squad. The 31-year-old believes that it is always beneficial for the club to have intense competition within team as the players try to give their best
in order to retain their place in the squad.
The Liverpool skipper added, "You always want competition for places because it's a long season. Obviously it gives the manager more options and it also pushes the players on because they know not everyone can start every game."

The English midfielder believes that both January singings, Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll, are already settled at Anfield and their experience will help them to perform even better in the upcoming 2011/12 campaign.
