Steven Naismith feels Scotland can take four points
Scotland forward Steven Naismith feels that his side should be capable of taking four points in their Euro 2012 qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Spain.
"I think it is (realistic) but first and foremost we'll have to defend well," said the striker.
Scotland will play the Czech Republic on Friday and will then face Spain in Glasgow.
Currently, Scotland are first in the table, but they have played more games than Spain and the Czech Republic.
The Scottish picked up a point with a 0-0 against Lithuania and struggled in their 2-1 win against Liechtenstein.
Regarding the campaign, Naismith said, “We thought we should have won in Lithuania - it didn't happen, but after the two games we're pleased with where we're sitting. Now we have two games that are massive.
Spain are the world champions, but we have the Czechs to worry about before that one.”
The Rangers player has played in both of Scotland’s group games so far and will expect to feature for the upcoming games.
Naismith is in superb form for Rangers. He scored crucial goals in the win against Bursaspor in the Champions League and in the team’s victory away to Hearts in the league.
Naismith believes that Scotland have a team that can cause any side problems. "We've got the players in the team that can win the game for us. Stephen McManus and Davie Weir have been solid at the back
for us”
The striker added, "Like I said, we'll have to defend well because if we don't, it's going to be a tough night. Their fans will be right up for it in Prague as they'll want to do well for themselves and
get back on track after losing to Lithuania."
Scotland will find it difficult to pick up four points from the next two games, but if they can manage to win in the Czech Republic they will be full of confidence going into the Spanish game.
