Stewart Downing assures Liverpool will continue their attractive brand of football – EPL News
Liverpool winger Stewart Downing has claimed that the Reds are putting all their efforts to satisfy their fans. The English winger is happy that the Anfield faithful are pleased with the club’s exciting brand of football in the ongoing 2011/12 Barclay Premier
League campaign.
The Merseyside club started the current season brightly and are placed fifth in the league standings with four wins, two defeats and a draw. Dalglish’s men have been able to please the fans with their attacking football, as the Reds have scored 10 goals
already in this campaign – fifth highest in the Premier League.
Downing has assured that Liverpool will keep on giving their best on the field and has insisted that team’s main aim has always been to get all three points and to entertain their fans.
The 27-year-old winger has told the reporters, "It's good to see that the fans enjoy watching the team play and the way we're trying to play. We're trying our best for them because they deserve it.”
The English international believes that the supporters are entertained with the attacking brand of football and the winger is confident that Liverpool will be able to provide same kind of entertainment throughout the season.
"I think fans watch football to be entertained. They want to see goals and forward players attacking. It's nice when you can do that,” the former Aston Villa winger added.
Downing, who is yet to open his account for Liverpool, has hailed the club’s performance so far in the new season and is confident that the Reds will continue their impressive attractive style of play throughout the campaign.
