Question:

Stews, Chowders, Bisque and Soups?

What's the difference between them? My brother and I are in a big fight over it. I need answers people!

  1. LOL  I don't know the answer but once you settle this arguement you can discuss whats the difference between a cobbler, crisp, slump, pandowdy and a grunt. Hard to believe they're all actual names and there is a fine line between them.

    I'm not trying to be smart, its just that when you asked this question it made me think about it.

  3. A chowder usually has potatoes in it and it is made with cream ir milk and could be clam or corn or another type of chowder. A bisque is a creamed based soup. A stew has a lot of different vegetables and meat in it, but generally doesn't have alot of water in it. Soup is generally has a great deal of water in it, withe vegetables and meat.
