Steyn not playing??

Question

Can anyone tell me why on earth Francois Styen didn't play in the test match this weekend vs. Wales?? He is one of our top players at the moment. I can't believe it!!!

I don't know. I'm a Kiwi and I rate Styen. Not as though you needed him for the Welsh though.

coz he is selfish.

he is a great player,  able to make an impact right away but he seems unable to pass the ball. not that he cant, just that he wont. he wants to beat the other team by himself, and its noble and admirable.

but if he passes the ball, to an often open winger, the chance of success is higher, as he tends to draw more than one defender because of his propensity to run the ball.

i'm south african and i think at the moment the new coach is experimenting... he knows steyn is a complete utility back and a massive talent so y waste him in a game where we know wat he can do.. experiment with other players, find some depth and go from there... steyn will probably play next week as it looked like AD jacobs went off injured as well as the coaches are not sure wat his best position is,fullack center etc, and we got montgomery and jantjies at fullback plus de villiers and jacobs at center and wen fourie comes back steyn isn'tgoing to take his place plus stey was in bad form in the super 14..... so there are many reasons
