Stick Together aiming the Easy MCS Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle at Market Rasen on 28th April
The Class 5 Easy MCS Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle will be held at Market Rasen over two miles and five furlongs on Saturday, 28th April. The line-up for the race comprises of six four-year and older thoroughbreds who will contest for the
£1,949 purse.
The only candidate who has been successful at Market Rasen is Stick Together, Kayf Tara’s nine-year-old grey mare out of mare, Altogether Now. That win goes back to the 2010 season after which she could not maintain the ranking at the race course however,
her experience at Market Rasen is more as compared to the other entries.
After winning, she was positioned third on 18th November 2010 and then came ninth, seventh and finally third in the three attempts at Market Rasen during 2011.
On 6th November, 2011, Stick Together finished third in the John Wade For Demolition “Hands And Heels” Handicap Hurdle (For Conditional Jockeys/Amateur Riders) at Market Rasen over two miles and three furlongs.
The title was won by Prince Of Denial and closing in for the right behind the winner was Mauricetheathlete who had to compromise the victory by 1 ¼ lengths.
The 8/11 favourite of the race, Koup De Kanon, ended fifth on the track of nine.
The nine-year-old has raced during the new season three times, out of which two were at Market Rasen, both the chances could not be translated into a win as she ended fourth in the seasonal debut and then scored second.
Her seasonal debut was in the Watch Racing UK On Sky Channel 432 Handicap Chase on 19th February over three miles and a furlong.
The race was won by Vin De Roy who led the 13/5 favourite runner up, Whiskey Ridge, by seven lengths while riding with Charlie Huxley. Stick Together could only manage the fourth slot behind the winner.
Second start of the season was her second try at Market Rasen in the form of NAFW Golf Society Novices’ Handicap Chase on 11th March over two miles and four furlongs.
Stick Together settled as the runner up behind the 2/1 favourite winner, Top Benefit, with Harry Haynes onboard.
Her third attempt at Market Rasen exposes her to the chance of striking the race.
