Stick Together expected to enthral at Kelso – Handicap Chase Preview
Stick Together is being anticipated to carry the day when she takes on five potential rivals in the Sis Mares’ Handicap Chase at Kelso, on Monday, April 2.
The Malcolm Jefferson-trained gray mare, Stick Together is all set to compete against:
More Equity,
Classical Mist,
Overyou,
Along Came Rosie, and
Just Maddie.
The high-stakes Class 4 contest over 2m6f110y distance will begin at 17:30 (GMT). There is a big prize money worth £2,599 reserved for the event.
Stick Together excellently clinched a runner-up rank in her last outing on March 11, 2012. Prior to that, she finished 4th in two back-to-back races.
Overall, the brilliant mare has one triumph to her name out of a total 26 starts. She has earned £9,979 as prize money.
The bookmakers have staked huge sums of money on Stick Together’s success. All this has been done, considering some of her splendid performances in the last few races.
Despite being favourite, the mare has no more than 80 percent chances to finish first in the Handicap Chase.
Among the other runners, Along Came Rosie and Classical Mist also have reasonable chances to thrive in today’s mega marathon. Each of the duo is carrying immense momentum at the moment.
Along Came Rosie elegantly bagged a big victory on March 13, 2012.
The Andrew Crook-trained bay mare moved forward to finish 3rd in her two subsequent outings during the same month. As a whole, she has won 2 out of her total 20 starts so far.
On the other hand, Classical Mist nicely attained a runner-up position, in December 2011, and February 2012.
The trainee of David O’Meara achieved the only triumph of her career on October 28, 2011, despite having a dozen starts to her credit.
Thus, Stick Together will have to confront many challenges in order to make her way towards victory.
Along Came Rosie can cause an upset anytime during the race.
Let us see how the hot favourite runner manages to thrive.
Good luck to all the runners!
