Stick with the old or try something new

Question

Is it still wrong for me to still want to use my idea for a theme? I was going to get married but it didn't turn out the way I wanted. I'm singler again but I know some day the right one will come. But I still want to use my ideas for my last wedding. I want to get married in a Japanese garden and have a wedding kimono for my wedding dress. Would it be ok or should I try something new for a wedding theme?

Well, let's not forget that your new groom will have input too, Some guys like to be involved in the planning. he should not step into a pre-planned wedding. Ya, know like you had the whole thing planned, all you needed was the guy! Embrace your new relationship when it comes and keep an open mind. You might find something you love even more.

I think it depends how far into the planning you got. If you were practically walking down the aisle, with everything planned, I think it would be a bad idea - this was a previous wedding with a previous fiance - yours and his ideas shared to have 'your' wedding day.

However, if it was just chat, and if it is something you have wanted for even years before you even got engaged, you should fulfill your wishes and desires! Your big day. I hate the answers that say - do what you want, its your day etc. But if you have ALWAYS wanted to wear a kimono and have a Japanese theme, you should go for it :)

Well, I would have to say, get the boyfriend and engagement first, then decide. Because you could have something with the new fiance that is very special to you and you would want to use that as a theme...So, no, I don't think its wrong to use the old theme, but I think its way to early to decide.

I don't think it really matters, but what your new husband will want will matter. Maybe he'll hate that idea. Maybe you won't even like the idea by then. Who knows.
